Approach and Modality

I’m a psychotherapist who uses a variety of approaches and techniques to help my clients understand, cope with and overcome long-term impacts of past trauma and learn new, healthy ways of coping and relating. I’ve worked in schools, business organizations, outpatient programs, and private practice, having an interest at the crossroads of psychology, mindfulness, systems thinking and personality.

My specializations are in relationship dynamics, trauma and abuse, loss of meaning, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. I am committed to providing the highest-quality ethical care in a regularly supervised, warm, inclusive and compassionate environment. I draw upon interventions from a vast field of knowledge and expertise.

Likewise, I have also led psychoanalytic and psycho-educational groups consisting of psychologists, students, artists, providing a space for self-reflection, dialogue, and education.

Therapy takes time and patience to get to the core of one’s issues. It is a process that leads to deep change and meaningful transformation. My role as a therapist remains, above all, to be a witness, and hopefully guide you through this transition. During the process, we will also explore ways of working with situations that matter to you.

If you would like to have a better understanding of the counseling process, I can offer a 15-minute phone call. Please contact me, and we can arrange it at a convenient time for both of us.

In addition to a Masters in Business from Australia, I have completed a BACPUK Accredited Level 3, 4 & 5 Advance Diploma in Therapeutic Counseling from CPCAB (UK). Additionally, I am currently in the process of completing Level 6 Supervisory training. CPCAB is the central awarding body for psychotherapeutic counseling courses and trainings in the UK. All its courses are accredited by BACP. Furthermore, I have over 3000+ hours of clinical experience working in private practice. I also enjoy working as a trainer and a group facilitator.

First sessions usually include a screening and assessment interview. I will have a conversation with you that will serve as the foundation for our further work. Our initial meeting will give you an idea of whether we can work together.

Therapy requires a sincere commitment to work with ourselves on a deeper level. True and lasting change comes through sustained attempt. I recommend an initial commitment of at least 8 to 10 sessions. The work can only be done if you want to do so. And it will be worth it!

Usually, sessions are based on each client’s individual needs. This can vary from either weekly, or biweekly sessions. Monthly and Yearly check-ins are recommended thereafter.

Get to know your therapist by having a conversation with them. See if you are comfortable with their approach to work and if you hit it off well. You don’t have to choose a therapist until you feel comfortable and safe with them.

There are a few questions that you might want to think about: What is it that I would like to receive counselling for? How long do I want to be in therapy for? Psychotherapy is a process with no short-term solutions. Am I willing to put in the work that’s required?
